About the Job
Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the Programme Manager’s key responsibilities will be to contribute towards creating an enabling programme design and implementation environment for the early grade interventions teams through the establishment and facilitation of best practices and standard operating practices to flourish and achieve the strategic goals of Funda Wande.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Design & Implementation Support
Enhance Programme Effectiveness through supporting strategy design, standardizing programme processes, and ensuring timely reporting
Ensure completion of the Programme Value Proposition
Ensure finalization of the Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Western Cape respective Programme Designs.
Implementation of standard reporting framework.
Completion of a Prototypal model for the IsiZulu and SeSotho programmes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Management
Foster Collaborative Partnerships with external stakeholders in support of programme outcomes, support informed advocacy strategies and effective communication of Funda Wande Programmes
Ensure completion of a Stakeholder Map for Provincial Governments.
Successfully support the anchor partnership with Thandulwazi in Limpopo.
Support with organizing the Programme Departments’ Assembly engagement.
Build partnerships for IsiZulu and Sesotho interventions.
Completion of a Stakeholder Engagement Plan for National Government
Successful engagement with non-profits in rural EC.
Quality Assurance
Strengthen Quality Assurance across Funda Wande Programmes by implementing robust processes in alignment with Organizational Goals.
Ensure completion of a standardized Reporting Template.
Compile and submit termly site Monitoring and reporting to Head of Programmes.
Complete a Quality Improvement Plan for Interventions
Complete a risk matrix for Interventions
Completion of Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) across the Interventions.
Budget Management & Support
Support programme budgeting processes to ensure budgets are aligned with available resources and reflect programme objectives
Ensure identification and mitigation of budget risks
Track increased resource utilization efficiency
Adhere to timeliness of budgeting process
Requirements
Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Alignment with the Funda Wande’s Vision, Mission & Values.
A four year Bachelor’s degree or Honours, in Economics, Social Work, Education, Development Studies, or a related field.
Masters degree will be advantageous
Demonstrable experience with working with districts and provinces
Minimum 5 years’ experience of relevant Programme & Project Management / PMO Management experience.
Experience in leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget.
Experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Technically competent with various Microsoft Office & PMO software programs, etc. problem-solving capabilities.
