Staff Spotlight: Tracy Nyman, Director Recruitment and Operations
This month we would like to shine a light on our amazing Recruitment & Operations Director, Tracy Nyman. Many of our candidates have worked with her in the past, and she is one of the first names people ask for when they call Action Appointments for reliable recruitment services, whether from clients or candidates.

What has been your journey with Action Appointments?
I started as an intern at Action Appointments in 2009 and within a few months got promoted to a recruitment officer, then recruitment consultant and now Director of Recruitment and Operations.
Why did you initially choose to join AA and what has motivated you to stay for so long?
I am extremely passionate about the development sector and I believe that work should be rewarding. I strive to make a difference in the lives of people and organisations.
What is your fondest memory about some of the first projects (jobs) you worked on at AA?
My fondest memories are the challenging ones, where I thought I wouldn’t be able to deliver. Like solely working successfully on big tenders and maintaining a recruitment desk at the same time.
What is your favourite part about your job?
Dealing with people is what I thoroughly enjoy and also exposure to diverse cultures, as well as continuous learning.
Tell us a little about your life outside of AA.
I enjoy planting and nurturing growth. Long strolls with my dog and spending time with loved ones.
What’s one thing your colleagues probably don’t know about you?
I am claustrophobic.
