Years at Action Appointments: 1 Year

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Administration, Recruitment Support, Database Management, and more.

Personal Motto: Good times, trying times, I value experience at any time

How long have you been at AA and what was your background coming into the company?

I have been at Action Appointment for one year now- it has been a wonderful journey working on a small team with energetic and highly motivated professionals. I’ve also had the privilege to gain further insights into the NGO/ social development sector and its role players. Previously, I was engaged as a Research Assistant and Data Capturer for health-based organizations.

What do you love about your job?

Being able to interact and assist individuals who are passionate about community development with available opportunities. It gives me pleasure to know that my role brings a positive change to individuals and contributing to the growing NGO sector. I also love the flexibility to work from home.

What don’t you love about your job?

It’s hard to find things I don’t love about my job, perhaps I can say getting a bad reference for a preferred candidate. However, at Action Appointments we always encourage candidates to first seek consent from their previous employers before listing them on their CVs to allow smooth process of placement.

What does your perfect Sunday look like?

On Sundays I get to spend the time with family, and going for solo walks as it helps to gain inspiration and for self-reflection.

What is something you enjoy outside of work, and what do you love about it?

Outside of work, I enjoy road running. Running helps me to refresh the mind and to test my limits.

How would you explain working in the NGO / social development sector to a stranger?

Working in the NGO sector means you are working in limited resources sector, but it brings huge contribution to disadvantaged communities. We get to assist non-profit organizations to hire passion driven and skilled individual to bring change to communities around South Africa and other parts in Africa.

If you weren’t in recruitment, what would your dream job be?

Environmental Officer. In my undergrad I majored in Environmental and Sustainable Studies.

Players are able to run on walls and ceilings thanks to the ability to rotate the tunnel, which provides a fresh twist to the existing Slope 2 gameplay. Levels become more challenging and need you to have superior reflexes as you continue through the game.

It’s interesting to see how personal experiences shape our professional paths. I had a similar experience in recruitment; I learned so much about teamwork while managing candidates who were fans of Fnaf ,it often sparked fun conversations! Imagine combining creative interests with professional roles! Keep up the great work showcasing your team members' unique stories!

I started a Block Blast round while standing in line at the bank. By the time it was my turn, I had almost cleared the board.
