About the Organisation

The Sustainable Finance Institute Asia (“SFIA”) is an independent institute established to catalyse ideas on sustainable finance at the policy level, as well as propel action in support of those policy ideas in Asia, particularly in ASEAN. We are looking for a Project Manager – (“PM”) with project management and stakeholder management experience, strong language skills, positive attitude, critical thinking aptitude, and research and analysis capabilities.

The Project Manager will be part of the Climate Finance Fellowship, a pilot initiative providing pathways for finance professionals to transition to climate finance careers with the goal of accelerating organizations leading the energy transition financing movement in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. In addition to your position at SFIA, as a Fellow you will benefit from climate change, energy finance, and leadership development training, as well as building your global network of likeminded professionals. Some international travel may also be required. IREX, a global non-profit that has supported more than 50,000 Fellows over 50 years, will implement the fellowship and provide ongoing support to you and your host organization.

Given this, it is crucial for the PM to be well informed on the regional developments in the area of sustainability and sustainable finance, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks to support the delivery of the sustainability agenda. The PM will be expected to work independently and show initiative to keep themselves updated on relevant matters, as well as collaborate with other Project teams across SFIA in ensuring optimal performance across all deliverables.

  • Coordinate and manage engagements as part of developing initiatives at the ASEAN level

  • Contributing to the development of SFIA’s overall technical acumen and capabilities

  • Providing direct support to the CEO on project matters, as requested

  • Providing cross-team support as requested

  • Minimal travel across ASEAN may be required (less than 5%)

  • Native-level proficiency in English, with proficiency in another ASEAN language considered as an advantage.

  • Strong research, writing and analytical capabilities.

  • Strong organisational skills with high level of attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task while prioritising meeting deadlines.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
