About the Organisation

Asia Research and Engagement (ARE) brings the voice of investors to Asia’s sustainable development challenges. We run collaborative engagement programs across Asia, assembling coalitions of investors to address strategic sustainability issues and using dialogue and shareholder escalation tools to shift the mindsets of senior decision-makers across finance and industry.

ARE has a team of highly motivated professionals with a range of backgrounds and disciplines who help to drive change. In addition to investor-backed engagement programmes, we produce high-grade research on sustainability themes and management by Asian listed companies.

Our main areas of expertise are energy transition and its financing, sustainable protein, and sustainable real estate. Within energy transition we currently target banks, power, and steel companies and will soon extend to other sectors that are major users or producers of energy.

The Investor Engagement Senior Manager will be part of the Climate Finance Fellowship, a pilot initiative providing pathways for finance professionals to transition to climate finance careers with the goal of accelerating organizations leading the energy transition financing movement in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. In addition to your position at ARE, as a Fellow you will benefit from climate change, energy finance, and leadership development training, as well as building your global network of likeminded professionals. Some international travel may also be required. IREX, a global non-profit that has supported more than 50,000 Fellows over 50 years, will implement the fellowship and provide ongoing support to you and your host organization.
