About the Job

The Climate Citizen Team Communications Officer will play a pivotal role in advancing IGT's mission by shaping and disseminating climate policy narratives to key stakeholders and the media. This role will involve designing impactful campaigns, creating communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences, and building networks to enhance policy influence. The officer will ensure the organization's research findings reach national media and key stakeholders, fostering awareness and driving action on climate issues. Through collaboration with NGOs, professional groups, and media entities, the Communications Officer will amplify IGT's voice and contribute to meaningful climate advocacy and policy impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Disseminate climate policy to media and key stakeholders.

  • Design campaigns to popularize climate policy.

  • Develop and implement communication strategies with key stakeholders, including media, professional groups, and NGOs.

  • Disseminate the organization's research findings to national media.

  • Build and expand networks to enhance policy impact.

Requirements

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in either National media or External affairs (government affairs, public affairs, corporate affairs, etc.)

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Capacity to work independently, proactively, and as part of a team.

  • Experience in journalism, politics, or industry is preferred

  • A master’s degree in politics or communications is preferred
